Christmas Rhapsody

Seems like this year has gone so fast, if you blink you miss out on a whole lot.
Every year my work hosts a silent auction of handmade wares and decorations to benefit our own follow workers, who for what ever reason, may just need a little help during the year.
Last year, I benefited from this leaf fund, this year I am donating this set. Hopefully it might bring a few dollars to donate to this fund. I made this set with dyed coral and yellow turquoise.

Bridal Set

My son just got married this past weekend. I made this bridal set for his bride. Her wedding colors were red and white. This set is made with pearls and crystals. I added a small blue crystal dangle at the end of the bracelet and necklace............ something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.

Okay, so my son has found the ultimate resource for gifts for his girl friends.......me. Here is a choker style necklace that I made for one of them. His color requests keep me challenged. This one is snowflake obsidian, blue glass pearls, and chalcedony.

My Fall

It's been a couple of months since I posted, I've been busy organizing my beads and making more jewelry. This piece I made for myself for the fall. It's made with mother-of-pearl, pearls, coral and copper beads and clasp. I just love this necklace.

"Blessings in Blue"

This was a custom made request from a coworker, they wanted one somewhat similar to the green "Apple Blessings" necklace I had made but wanted in all in blue. I couldn't make a duplicate it, so this is what I came up with. It's made with chalk turquoise, lampwork, foiled glass, sterling silver beads and Swarovski crystals.

I made this bracelet with a right angle weave stitch. It's become one of my favorite stitches. This bracelet is called "Garden Path". It reminds me of neat little rows of flowers that one might find in their garden.

This is a bracelet I made for a color challenge in a beading group I belong to. The beading group is Beading Daily. An awesome group for those of us who need to bead. One of the color groups was green, orange and hot pink. I came up with this. I'm not sure this is a combination I would have chose on my own. That's why I like this group.

Peyote Necklace

I made this necklace a few years back for a beading contest. I didn't win but it gave me a chance to try my hand at peyote stitch. It was the first contest I had entered. I think it came out well for my first attempt. I call it "Gardenia Delight". The basic pattern for the panel was by Deb Moffett-Hall.
