Solar Flare Blog Hop Reveal

It's reveal time for the Solar Flare Blog Hop.

The challenge was to create a unique piece of jewelry inspired by this sunset/solar flare photo.

I kept my design very simple. The color combination are not colors I would normally choose. I love the end results. I made my set with glass, crystal, quartz and hemalyke.

Bead Soup: 32 Projects Show What Happens When 26 Beaders Swap Their Stash

 

Kalmbach Publishing is hosting a bead soup party. Bead and Jewelry stores all over the US sent in bead soups for participants to receive and create a beautiful necklace with the soup ingredients they received. http://www.facebook.com/KalmbachJewelryBooks. 

Those of us that filled out the application, anxiously waited for the postal service, In hopes that one of these lovely yellow envelopes would find their way into our mailboxes.

 I was sure I was not one of those lucky participants as I waited and waited.........

But much to surprise and delight, one of those glorious yellow envelopes found it way to me. Yeah! I get to participate!

Bead Soup Blog Party #6 Reveal 2

Well it's time for the 2nd reveal of the 6th bead soup blog party. This is my day to show what I've made with my bead soup that I got from my partner Debbie. Don't forget to visit her page to see what she cooked up. This was the yummy soup ingredients that she sent me. 

I made several pieces from this soup. It took me a few attempts, before I came up with these pieces. I just loved the stone she sent me.

My New Bead Soup (#6) Ingredients

I've received my new bead soup ingredients from my partner Debbie.
She sent me a gorgeous unakite focal, a variety of lovely glass bead and gemstone assortments and two adorable gold lobster clasps. My creations are already simmering on the bead board.....so many possibilities.

The soup selection I choose for my partner was more in a challenge to find a complementary color. This is what I sent her. I can hardly wait to see what she cooks up!

 We will be in reveal #2, August 11th. I'm excited to see what we cook up!

Heads Up for Bead Soup Blog Party #6

       The next bead soup blog party is just around the corner with a whopping 400+ participants. This will be the largest one yet. It will be divide into three parties for easier viewing. I will be in the second group who will show on the week of August 11. I can't wait to get my bead soup.
