The 7th bead Soup Blog Party-Reveal 2

It's finally time for the 2nd reveal of the 7th bead soup blog party.
This has been the most challenging soup I have had yet. My partner Evelyn Shelby of Rain Drop Creations by Evelyn.
sent me a wonderful bead soup, with a very large focal.

I finally came up with 2 necklaces.
The first one uses the leaf clasp, and is a choker style necklace.

The second necklace has the focal and is a little bit longer.

  17. Beautiful jewelry. I love that you used the wire mesh ribbon. In your experience does it hold its shape while holding the weight of the necklace or is that one of the disadvantages of using it? Beautiful work, great job!

    1. I haven't worn it yet but the weight does pull it down some. The wire mesh is easy to reshape.

  26. I love the use of the wirelace with these elements, it's the perfect complement to complete the look.

  27. Nice pieces - I like how you used the wire lace to complement the beads, and the waxed linen (or some other material?) dangles from the large pendant are very cute.

    1. It's actually accu-flex wire with the butterflies. I wanted a swooping effect and linen or a softer string material would have clumped them together.

  28. Both of your pieces turned out so nicely! I haven't seen much use of that wire netting before (though I've seen it in the store), but you gave me two lovely examples of how it ca be used. Very cool!
